As well as being the largest apprenticeship programme in the heavy vehicle industry, employing over 250 apprentices, the DAF Trucks Apprenticeship Programme was also recognised as one of the best programmes in the industry when it was graded as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in 2010.

Since then DAF went on to be recognised by City and Guilds and the National Apprenticeship Service as being one of the top 100 Apprentice employers in the country. In addition, Ben King from Wessex DAF won the IMI Outstanding Achievers award for Heavy Vehicle Apprentices with Jonathan Pine from Watts Truck and Van Gloucester as runner up.
